Trapp Family Lodge
Nestled in the mountains above the village of Stowe, the Lodge has been owned and operated since 1950 by the Trapp family, inspiration for the classic musical and movie The Sound of Music. Vermont Mozart Festival musicians have been delighting audiences in the Lodge’s outdoor concert meadow for years. Colorful sunsets are set to the notes of classical masterpieces, a prelude to the fireworks which light up the night sky--it’s no wonder that tourists and residents alike eagerly anticipate these Sunday concerts.

The Inn at Shelburne Farms
Shelburne Farms is a 1,400-acre working farm and national historic site originally designed as an agricultural estate in 1886 by Dr. William Seward Webb and Lila Vanderbilt Webb. Now a nonprofit environmental education organization whose mission is to cultivate a conservation ethic by teaching and demonstrating the stewardship of natural and agricultural resources, Shelburne Farms welcomes visitors to enjoy its spectacular landscape. The sweeping lawns and formal gardens of the elegant turn-of-the century Inn at Shelburne Farms, with some of the most beautiful lake and mountain views in the world, provide the concert setting.

Vermont Teddy Bear Factory
The Vermont Teddy Bear Company is the largest maker of handcrafted, American-made teddy bears! The factory makes an ideal setting for family concerts. Plan to take a little time after the concerts for a tour of the factory.
This site does not fall prey to weather conditions as the performance is under a large tent. The only weather condition that could affect our performance would be lightning. There will be a message at the office or a posting on our home page to advise you on the circumstances.

The Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms
Down the hill from the Inn at Shelburne Farms, the Coach Barn (1902) held the family carriages, harnesses, horses, and, later on, automobiles. Groomsmen lived in dormitory-style rooms on the second floor. The Coach yard is the beautiful central courtyard of the Coach Barn building.

The West Monitor Barn is a rustically beautiful venue inside and out. The interior is spacious and cozy at the same time with rough-hewn lumber, carriage barn lamps, and the character of a traditional dairy barn. Middlebury Town Hall Theater
In 1884, the people of Middlebury erected their first town hall. Overlooking the town green, the building housed a 600-seat theatre as well as town offices. The building was restored and reopened in 2008, and the festival brought classical guitarist Eliot Fisk to a sold out crowd as part of the Grand Re-Opening celebration.

Driving Directions from Burlington: Follow Route 7 South into downtown Middlebury. Turn left after the Middlebury Inn onto the round about and go 3/4 the way around, exiting right onto Washington Street (at Chittenden Bank). At the first stop sign turn right onto Buttolph Drive. The Arena is 0.2 miles down Buttolph Drive on the right.
