Make a Planned Gift

Life Income Gifts

Life Income Gifts are one of the fastest growing methods for individuals to make a meaningful and lasting gift upon death to the Vermont Mozart Festival while creating a benefit for themselves through an additional avenue of income during their lives. The Vermont Mozart Festival works with the Vermont Community Foundation to create and manage the many forms that these Life Income Gifts can take and we can work to find the best fit for you.

Please contact our offices at (802) 862-7352 and ask for Tim Riddle, Executive Director, if you are interested in using your gift to create income for yourself while making a meaningful contribution to Vermont's cultural landscape.

Testamentary Bequests

Gifts by will are among the Vermont Mozart Festival's most important sources of individual giving, meeting both current and endowment needs. They are one of the easiest types of planned gifts and can be changed at any time. Charitable gifts by will reduce estate taxes while providing a larger gift than many individuals are able to make during their lifetime.

Gifts may be designated as unrestricted so that the Festival can use the gift for its general purposes as needed. We can be of assistance should you wish to designate your gift toward a specific area of interest or memorialize a loved one.

The following model language may be helpful to you and your attorney in drafting your bequest for The Vermont Mozart Festival:

I hereby give and devise to The Vermont Mozart Festival, a Vermont nonprofit corporation, the sum of $_______________, or _______________ (a description of property), or _________________ % of the residue of my estate, or the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, to be used for its general, unrestricted purposes.

We would be pleased to assist you and your attorney in drafting specific language to best reflect your wishes.
